After learning the subfloor in one bathroom was rotten my husband and I started looking for someone to do repairs/cosmetic updates to one bathroom, and a full remodel in the other bathroom. Our house was built in 1985 so it was overdue for some upgrades. I found Jacob and Madison Pro Services on the NextDoor app when he responded to my post looking for someone qualified to do the job. After meeting him, discussing what we wanted and receiving an estimate, we hired him. He and apprentice Kirsten (who has gone on to other things) started work the last week of March and finished today, a total of 6 weeks. There were surprises along the way (to be expected in a 38-year old house) and he found solutions for all of them. His work is methodical, meticulous and thorough, with laser focused attention to the smallest detail. He arrived every morning ready to work and stayed late many evenings till he was satisfied with the day’s work. As many times as he and Kirsten had to go in and out of the house, they remained as quiet and unobtrusive as possible, always closing the door quietly behind them. Dust was kept to an absolute minimum with an exhaust system venting to the outside, protective coverings on the carpet, and sticky mats outside the bathrooms to keep from tracking dust/dirt to other places. When he says dust-free, he really means it! Jacob even came up with a barrier to keep my cats out of the bathrooms at night.

Over the course of 6 weeks, Jacob took my old, dark and outdated bathroom and gave me a beautiful space with a more accessible shower, additional shelving and a space that’s now safer, brighter and more comfortable. When I didn’t like the paint color for the walls, Jacob repainted it to another color. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you want a top-notch bathroom remodel, call Jacob. Aside from his considerable skills, Jacob impressed us greatly in many ways. He has a great work ethic and put in many long days. For example, he was always careful about where he parked his truck and trailer so that neither we nor our neighbors were ever inconvenienced. During the weeks that he was in our home, Jacob went in and out of our door hundreds of times and each time he took a moment to close the door carefully and quietly. He made the effort to keep our home as clean as possible and he showed great patience with our yappy little dogs and even tried to make friends with them.
Jacob also had the wisdom to choose an exceptional apprentice. Aside from being a friendly and delightful person, Kirstin possesses a unique set of talents and she is a great asset to him.
We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Madison Pro Services and we look forward to having them renovate another bathroom for us later this year.

My last contractor did not properly water proof my shower and I was left wondering how much damage had been done and what level of mold my family had been exposed to. And how do you go about finding a reputable contractor when you have already had a bad experience? This is where Madison Pro Services comes in.
On the consultation, he thoroughly explained the issues he saw and why they were problematic. He then went into detail on the system that he uses to ensure a water tight shower and beautiful tile.
During the tear down and installation, he ensured my cabinets, counters, and other items in the bathroom were covered. He also covered the flooring all the way to the door in order to protect my floors. He used equipment that kept the dust from the tear down at bay, and even took photos and made videos of various steps along the way that explained what he did in that step.
When we were wrapping things up, he told me that the only maintenance that needed to be done would be re-caulking in about 5 years. He then threw out, give me a call when you notice it start to break down and I will come out and take care of it.
In a situation where it is hard to find a trustworthy and competent contractor to help with a home improvement project, I can say I am confident that Jacob Wiseman does quality work and cares about creating a long lasting work or art. Jacob Wisemann came out and listened to our ideas, gave us very valuable suggestions on our design and material selections. We first contacted Jacob in January, in regard to a quote for a potential project to customize a home for my dad’s mobility needs. If you have a vision, he can make it happen! However, if there is a skill he has not acquired or is not comfortable with implementing, he will not hesitate to be honest about it. He will either tell you he is confident enough to give it a shot or he will refer you to a more competent person for that particular component of your project. Furthermore, when other skills/trades are required, he coordinates them working alongside each other with ease.

We were in the market to have our outdated, 20 plus year old bathroom brought up to date. I called a few contractors in the area to just be given the run around, and not to hear back or see from any. Was close to giving up on the search, but decided to make one more phone call. So glad that we did. The day I contacted Madison Pro Services, the call was answered right away and the gentleman was very polite and helpful over the phone. He was able to arrange a time to meet the following day. To my surprise not only did they arrive on time to meet, but it was actually the gentleman I spoke on the phone with and not just a sales man. He was clean cut, and very professional. He actually put on shoe covers over his boots at the door. That was a good look right from the start. He then was able to answer all our questions to get us in the right direction on our bathroom remodel. We received a detailed estimate later the same day. I was expecting it to be months before he would be able to start, but was surprised to be put on the schedule right away. I cannot recommend his company enough. From the start, he answered my phone call right away. He came earlier than expected for the free estimate. He provided that same day estimate via text within 24 hours. He was EXTREMELY responsive to text messages and same day calls. HE ANSWERS THESE CALLS HIMSELF. He doesn’t have a salesman answering for him. He handles everything himself. Such a plus in my book knowing what I needed was being told to the person doing the job, not a salesman.
The job I hired him for? I put my leg through my attic through my utility room ceiling. He came the same day I called, gave me an estimate, and showed up within 48 hours to do the repair. The detailed estimate was reasonable and fair, he actually specified using screws vs. nails (which is a plus in my book), he arrived before his start time, he provided constant communication throughout the whole process, and went above and beyond in trying to do paint matches through several stores.
The end result? You would be hard pressed to see where that repair was done. He did a FANTASTIC job, was patient through our questions, kept his cool and worked out what wasn’t going his way as things happen in construction. Top notch, quality work.

I had a couple of deficiencies that needed to be corrected and Jacob did just that. He did some stucco work on the chimney and sealed it, cleaned all the windows from old caulking and re-caulked them, covered up some masonry work around the outside of the house, replaced some fascia boards, fixed our wooden fence, and even installed an anti-tip bracket on our range.
